We have all of these paint by sticker books, and my kids love them so much! They are great for children working on number recognition, for keeping kiddos occupied in waiting rooms, for keeping kiddos quiet while they wind down at bedtime, for long car rides, and for fun anytime! My five year old son has purchased two of these books with his own money because he loves them so much, and he is eagerly awaiting the next new release!
Wonderful pictures!!! This is my daughters second sticker by number book. It has a clownfish, jellyfish, diver, see turtle, dolphins, school of fish, an octopus, sunken ship, starfish, and a narwhal!! Yes, a narwhal!! Perfect summer activity for a school aged kid
Great sticker book! My six year old loves it and likes to do them with his dad where they each do their own. The stickers are numbered from 1 to about 50. The higher number varies a bit for each picture. Not difficult to get the sticker off the sticker page and easily removed if you don't get it quite in place. The stickers on the sticker page are numbered in order like 1-50 but the picture page has them mixed up so you have to search for the number. The stickers range in size from very small- about the size of the end of your pinky- to about the size of a silver dollar. The pictirss really do look good hanging on a wall.If you have a younger child- 4 or 5 - they should still be able to do this with help. Six and up can do this solo if they know their numbers well. Great for practicing fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, and number practice.
Really perfect size and ability level for a 5-8 year old. Unfortunately, it ships in a non protected packet, so it has been creased in the middle of the book and some stickers have popped off. It's definitely something that I want so I'm going to rebuy, but from my local Barnes and Noble store instead
Kept our five and a half year old son busy for hours during a beach vacation on rainy days and during the long car trip to and from the beach. He only needed help a few times, if there was an especially tiny or intricate sticker to un-peel. He was extremely proud of his creations. The book is very convenient, fits in a shoulder bag or large hand bag easily, and I could open to a picture and tear out the corresponding sticker page so he could work on it easily in the car, with no little parts to lose or fall down. The picture pages are a decent weight, not too flimsy. Wish they had more of variety of books in the Kids version!
My mom is mildly obsessed with these sticker books. I have bought her all of them at this point as a gift for various holidays or just because, and she loves them. We moved on to the kids ones because she finished all the adult ones. The stickers on average are reasonably sized (not too big or too small), they stick well, and they are organized well. The pages are sturdy and the pictures are fun. It's a very relaxing activity, and I have 2 of the books myself (one kid and one adult). A child could easily do the kid one and enjoy it. I think an age recommendation would be hard, and really it depends on maturity. I have two nephews around the same age, and I could give one of them this and I couldn't give it to the other. Give it a try if you think your kid is ready. If they aren't ready, save it for later. If it isn't their thing, enjoy it yourself.
We love these books. My son sits next to me while I do the adult paint by sticker and he does his kids paint by sticker. He’s six and rarely needs help. I feel most of the pieces are just the right size for smaller fingers but just a handful of pieces out of the entire book he’ll have me do. Like with any sticker, every now and then a sticker wasn’t cut all of the way around and rips but we make it work. Always pleased with these books!
This was *made* for wiggly kids (maybe 6 and up) who love a good art project. The sticker pages come out fairly easily (for a careful adult) so they can be set down next to the work page. It helps to tell the child to look at the work page to find the number first, then pick the sticker off the sticker page. Otherwise, the child may forget what number the unmarked sticker is before finding the matching spot on the work page. The stickers are lined up in numerical order with the number written underneath on the sticker page. The work page has a partially-illustrated scene, with the spaces to put stickers numbered, but not in numerical order. It turns out looking really cool, but I wouldn't use it with a child under 6 unless he or she has very careful fine motor skills.
