He was the dutiful brother in law, trained his sister by marriage, stood with his family and friends. But he deserved his own story and it's a good one. I have loved each book in the series, and I truly enjoy how characters cross over and we see them again. Larissa deserved much joy after how her father and husband had treated her. So she runs and will give herself to God. In walks Aidin, again. And the rest is gold.I hope Lawrence gets his tale next. The sweet seducer needs his match but we know love is never do easy.Cecilia weaves these border folks in to grand love stories. The men are brawny and the women are their equals in games of wits and love.

I really liked Aiden in the previous books, so was looking forward to his story. At first I thought he and Allie would end up together but he felt more of a sisterly relationship with her and helped her find her own HEA. Unfortunately, when it was Aiden’s turn, I was a little disappointed. I just didn’t feel his story did him justice. The plot was lackluster and one dimensional. Compared to the other novels in this series, of which I have read them all, I just couldn’t get into this one as I had the others. Actually, I couldn’t wait to finish it.

I love this series of books, and this one is my favorite so far. It's a love story so of course it all works out in the end. These characters are very endearing and you just cheer for them all along. Aidan is definitely my favorite of Ms. Mecca's heros so far. I read this book while on vacation and couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next one! If you like historical romances with modern characters, read this very engaging series.

Loved this second chance romance from Cecelia!! She has done it again pulling on your emotions and heart strings.Aidan swoops in and rescues Clarissa from her awful father knowing it could start a war and then all the ups and downs these two go through just to find their happily ever after.

Ms Mecca has the starts of a mighty fine story.....but the conflict resolution needs to be fleshed out A LOT more before the ending will be anything other than...... Oh and they loved happily ever after.

Another story in the border series, I have loved them all.Hoping there will be more. I would love to for the adventures to continue.

Cecelia Mecca is the Queen of Impossible Historical Romances! She creates these wonderful, romantic, edgy and creative medieval match-up along the tumultuous and dangerous border between Scotland and England in the 1270s, Aidan has been a loyal and kind friend and brother, as well as a brave and loyal knight, in previous boos, so I am so glad that Aidan got his story in the Border Series books. In medieval times, women were chatel to their fathers and husbands, and had few rights. Clarissa has to abandon her budding relationship with Aidan years before because her father insisted that she marry a wealthy, older man. Her husband was as much of an ogre as her conniving father and she was desperate to escape them both. The border was a dangerous place to live, especially in 1274 when black-hearted English lords were more concerned about their own wealth and power than the 30-year-old truce and peace along the border. Cecelia also writes about strong and independent women, and when Clarissa appeals to Aidan to help her, she unwittingly places his clan and friends, as well as peace along the border, in peril. But Aidan, being the chivalrous knight, cannot turn his back on her plight. What develops is a very romantic, suspenseful and sexy plot as these two impossibly matched people try to find their way through all the danger and barriers to their love. The tale is full of intrigue, danger, passion and steamy romance.Big fans of Cecelia's books, like me, will want to take note of details that may show up in her future series combustible on Vampires! This is a stand-alone novel but you will want to read all the border series books and learn about the other great characters you encounter in Guardian's Favor. I have read and loved all of Cecelia's books, and I volunteered to read an advanced copy and this is my review.

5 stars, because my favorite in series. It is the story of Aidan and Clarissa, and their unforgettable love story. Aidan is the perfect Hero, he is Braw, kind, honest, honorable, tender, loving and protective. Clarissa is so brave, strong, and loving Heroine. Their love story is so Hot, but sweet. I felt they were true Soulmates. The story had me on edge for most of it, I didn’t want to put it down, couldn’t wait to see what happened next. It was never boring, that is for sure. It had such tender sensual moments. Couldn’t wait for end to see what happened, because it kept me guessing till end, but didn’t want it to end. Of course, there werevillains, but it has a very happy ending. I highly recommend, as I do all of her books. Great series, and in my opinion best read in order, because of wonderful reoccurring characters. The book was gift from author, but review is my honest opinion.
