The five stars is from my kid, who has read all of the books in the series so far, most of them multiple times. This graphic novel is a faithful interpretation of the first Wings of Fire book. The Wings of Fire series is at around 10 books so far, with at least five more to go and a few books outside the main chronology. The artwork is decent, with a style similar in nature to other comics that target this age group. The book is vividly colored and the dragons are drawn pretty much as they are described in the series.One thing for parents to be aware of is that much of the violent content in the original novel has also made the transition to comic book form. There are quite a few dragons being killed, sometimes rather gruesomely.With the success of the ongoing series, I expect that this will not be a one-off. As this parallels the first book, it is also a good jumping off point for getting reluctant readers to jump into the novels.

I can’t say much more but it’s a review so I willThe art is pretty good my only criticism about it is the dragons necks are a bit too long and the book cover doesn’t look so great the pages inside are betterI would recommend reading this after you read the actual book (book 1) not before or after you run out of wings of fire books like me lol since you can picture the dragons better and if you read this first you won’t want to read the actual book which has more detail this BUT the include every thing that happens just not every thought if that makes sense. I really underestimated this I thought the graphics shouldn’t be so great know Buda like the cover.. it’s overall a pretty good comic :)

This Graphic novel is AMAZING i love the art style, and all the characters are lovable. I should warn parents who might think its a cute book about dragons. it has a lot of mature themes like abuse, voilence and even gore. Other then that this is an easy 10 out of 10

My 7y/o dragon loving son absolutly loved this. We tried to read the main novel, but never finished it. This graphic version he finished on his own in a couple of days. Already have #2 pre-ordered.

This Graphic novel is great, and is almost exactly the visual I had in mind! The dragons are very well done for being drawn so much. It got through the main part of the book without using extra details, which made it not so long it got boring! Can’t wait for the rest ♡

I first heard of this series from my class, who most of them are completely obsessed with, and checked out the first book from our library, and became hooked. I finished it and asked my mom to by me the graphic novel version. I had to read this first, because my school loves this series so much, the only books in this series in the library were 5, 7 and ten I believe. I was lucky a kid in my class finished the book on the day I decided to check it out. I could place the second one on hold, but it would take a few months before the book got to me.

From my 10 year old son:It makes you understand details from the first book a lot better. There’s beautiful colors and I like it! I hope they make a graphic novel for ALL the books in the series!

Love this book! WINGS of fire has been my favorite book series sense i read the first book and I've always wished there would be a graphic novel version one day, sense o love graphic novels and here it is! I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw this was coming out. The art in the book is great and it follows the whole storyline correctly except there are a few parts people wouldn't understand if they hadn't read the original book.
