I read A World Beyond many years ago and enjoyed Montgomery's description of the afterlife. I can't say she converted me or made a believer but she made the place where we go seem like the kind of place I'd like. I found her book to be uplifting and optimistic without placing any burden upon my belief system. He's is a philosophical view that can be embraced by almost any religion, or no religion.

This is an amazing book for anyone who has struggled with questions regarding life after life. If you do believe in life after death there is good news from the other world. If you are uncertain about your beliefs in this regard, it is very affirming and for some, will leave them hopeful and interested in exploring the possibilities further with a more open mind. I had the privilege of spending an entire day with the author who I found to be grounded, credible and normal in every respect, not the "new agey" esoteric type person you would expect given the subject matter to say nothing of her skills as an automatic writer and spiritual medium. I wanted to share this book with a person who had recently lost a significant other thinking it would ease his mind and reassure him that life indeed goes on but I did not want to part with my copy of the book since I reread it frequently. It is no longer available in the traditional bookstores I frequent and turned to Amazon to provide it for me quickly and easily. Amazon did not disappoint. By the way, Amazon seems to have all of Ruth Montgomery's books and I urge you to read each and every one and especially "A Search for the Truth" which started Ruth's journey on the path of psychic phenomena.

Overall I enjoyed this book. Aside from a few issues I vehemently disagree with, it provided logical views to questions I've had all my life.Unfortunately, the disagreements I have are big ones and leaves me to rely on views from other texts and good ole common sense.Worth reading, though!

Amazing life after death could take this form but it seemed disappointing...more like purgatory and punishment? Eventually, science should be able to discover this realm if it exists at all. My own personal hope is to find another world where humanoids are living an advanced lifestyle. Also, some of the details of this life after death were absent. It is mentioned these souls are still on the earth and are many more than us; is this afterworld crowded? Do they need to eat or sleep or drink or take any kind of sustenance? I am sure God gave us free will for a very good reason; so we could use it and learn to appreciate God. SOme people have complained Mr. Ford was a fraud but he must have been a very good one. And if this is truth why hasn't it become known more widespread? It could be true like so many details of nature not discovered this may be just how life after death is for all of us. It is not so bad but again might be disappointing for talented or mentally gifted people or even simple romantics pursueing love...

I"ve probably given out 150 copies of this book over the last 30 years...This is the book that started me on my spiritual journey..Bill Wilson who founded AA and ARthur Ford were good friends.At Stepping Stones, Bill had all of Ford's books in his library which Lois called the Spook Room.This is a kindergarten step in a life long journey...Read it with an open mind

One of the best books ever written. A must for people who have questions of why me? Answers to life’s answers.

An excellent book in a small package. Spiritual matters are interesting and can offer comfort to those having lost a dear one. A chapter in "Passport to Deception" has an interesting story that complements this book. This book is available on AMAZON and I recommend it. Both of these books deal in the maters of dying in a very sensitive way, giving comfort to those left behind. Reading and understanding the truths in these books supports the teachings in the bible and gives insight into the teachings of Buda."A World beyond" and "Passport to Deception" Have enriched my life.

I read this book in the 70's. Then, I bought a copy for every member of my family. If someone is dealing with end of life issues themselves or with a loved one, I buy them this book. This is the most importand book I have ever read. It rolled up all my thoughts about religeon and spiritual things into one explanation about life and death combining East and West. It is the only explainaition that has ever made sense to me. The book is so positive and uplifting, even if these things aren't true, one can live a happier, more productive life by accepting them. I read it twice to my Mother before she died. It truely gave her comfort. The thought that suffering in this life, advaces us spiritually into the afterlife, gave purpose to her suffering. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK. You will never be the same.Paul
